The maintenance schedule in the Honda Ruckus owner’s manual makes no mention of the drive belt. You have to dig into the service manual to find out when the belt needs to be replaced.

Check the drive belt by measuring its width. If the belt is less than 17.15mm in width, replace it. An easy way to check this width is to try and fit a 17mm wrench over the belt. If the wrench fits over the belt, it is time to replace the belt.

A brand new belt is 18.15mm wide, and the service limit is 17.15mm.
