I made a new speedometer bracket to attach to the BMX handlebars I put on the Ruckus. The biggest problem to solve when changing bars is finding a place to mount the speedometer and turn signal indicator.
I removed the bracket from the stock handlebars with the help of my Welder and Machinist friend Nick. I found a small bicycle bar bracket to which I bolted the modified bracket.
I got around to finishing this project in May of 2015. Here are photos of the completed bracket and what it looks like mounted on the bike.

Where can I buy this item?

This is a one-off mod for my own scooter. The clamp that holds it to the bars is something I bought online, but the mounting plate itself was fashioned from the stock mounting plate.

I need something exactly like this but don’t have the skill to make it

It doesn’t make sense for me to do it for you unless you’re local to me in central Pennsylvania. Also, you need to take the stock bar off but keep it for parts.

Would it be possible to try and make a DIY? I’m sure more people would like this piece

Photo 2 should help you understand what part of the stock bars we cut out and used to make the new bracket. My welder friend Nick has a 4 inch angle grinder that he used to make the cuts. This job is too big for my dremel.

I’m surprised I didn’t write a post about it. eBay and PayPal don’t let me see my history that far back, which is disappointing. They are BMX bicycle handlebars of 9 or 10 inches in height. I found the smallest bar clamp I could find, and made a shim to help it snug the Ruckus fork stem out of a PBR beer can.
